UniFi Network

The UniFi Network widget gives a read-only overview from a UniFi controller — UniFi OS (a UDM or Cloud Key) or a legacy self-hosted controller:

  • WAN up/down status with throughput, latency and ISP
  • Client counts, split wired / wireless / guest
  • Per-device health for your gateway, switches and access points

What you’ll need

  • Your UniFi controller URL, for example https://192.168.1.1
  • A local controller account. A read-only admin is recommended — the widget never writes, so it doesn’t need more.

Add a connection in the widget’s ⚙ panel. The username and password are stored in Windows Credential Manager, never in a config file.

Why a local account

Use a local controller account rather than your Ubiquiti cloud (SSO) login. A local account keeps the credential scoped to that one controller on your LAN, and it keeps working when the internet is down — which is exactly when you want to look at a network widget.

Sites

If your controller manages more than one site, set the Site field in ⚙. Leave it at the default for a single-site setup.

You can also toggle the WAN row and the device list independently, so the widget can be as small as a client counter.

Full step-by-step guide lands with the public beta.
