Current build information

GlanceDock 0.27.1 is the current public beta, released on 7 September 2026 for Windows 10/11 x64. Get the installer from the download page, or read the release notes on GitHub.

The current app includes:

  • 72 widget types, including Colour Picker, Cron Explainer, JWT Inspector, and LAN Devices. Browse the widget catalog.
  • The completed Colour Picker library, with saved swatches, copy feedback, and inactive controls excluded from keyboard and desktop input.
  • Three active widget instances free, across all monitors. A valid license unlocks additional instances; saved extras pause without losing their layout or data when a license is removed.
  • Offline license verification, including complimentary keys for promotion and testing. Version-1 keys also work in the current pre-1.0 build. See Have a license key?.
  • Portable layout backups that exclude credentials. Passwords and tokens stay in Windows Credential Manager and must be set up again when moving to another computer.

Automated release checks passed: 1,154 Rust tests, 2,666 frontend tests, lint/type checks, and the Windows installer build. The updater signature was verified against the app’s public key. This beta does not have a Windows publisher certificate, so SmartScreen may show a warning; see the download guidance.

On a fresh setup, choose Skip setup and add widgets individually. Starter templates currently add to the default clock and can exceed the free three-widget limit. See Getting started for the working setup path.
